BASIC LIGHTING KIT
Over the years we have developed this practical package that meets both budget and skill levels for smaller events. It has the power and flexibility to cover a wide rang of uses and fits in the trunk of most cars.
INCLUDES:
Two lighting stands, eight PAR lights, dimmers, controller, all necessary cables and a pack of color media.

FLEXIBLE
Eight lights cover a large area very well, or does several special looks. Dimmers for each light allows maximum control and the controller makes it easy to do complex changes. Color sheets for each light provide the effect and style you want. Various cable lengths enable this kit o fit most spaces.
SIMPLE
You really can't go wrong. We guide you through the whole process.

A typical set up.
- Unfold the stands and place them at the sides of the audience. The stands go up to 12' high, and generally the higher the better.
- Hang the lights on stands. Using a step ladder and an adjustable wrench can make it easier.
- Hang a dimmer pack on each stand, and plug in the lights. Dimmer channels are labeled 1 - 4 and 4 - 8.
- Place the controller where you can have a good view of the action. It can sit on your lap, but a table or counter is much more comfortable.
- Plug one of the data cables (XLR microphone style) into the "MULTIPLEX" receptacle at the back of the controller. Run the cable to the closest dimmer pack's "LMX IN" jack.
-
- Run the other data cable from one dimmer pack to the other. This is the hardest part, if it doesn't work you probably have the cables turned around or in the wrong jack. Don't worry - nothing will be damaged, just check the drawing above and try again. The little switches are important but we preset them for you.
-
- Use the heavy duty extension cords to plug the dimmer packs into a wall outlet. They must be on separate circuit breakers. If you have any concerns about your power, tell us and we can give you some guidance. (Or a generator!)
- Go to the controller and push all the sliders up. If all the lights came on the you are ready to go! Slide the "Master" slider down and everything goes off. If it does not work, check the connections and then the circuit breakers.
- The last step is to point the lights where you want them, and try some of the colors. This can be a lot of fun when you see what a difference the lights make. Also try turning on one light at a time, so you can see what each one does. Again, tell us what you want to do, and we will get you started.
There are more options of course. We can use more adjustable lights, or bigger/smaller lights are a small extra charge. Read the controller manual for advanced functions.
