CONSULTATIONTalk to us. Consultation just means talking. When the search for your answer goes beyond finding the right product and becomes a service all on its own, we call that service "Consultation". Whether your project is a new theater, a strange problem at a church, or a unique situation never to be repeated, then we need to talk. We work directly with you in order to ensure the most effective use of time, money and equipment. Each project is different but many share factors such as; Size of the "audience" and "performers", backstage space, operators skills, multiple kinds of uses, and lighting positions. THEATRICAL CONSULTINGNew or reworked building? We look at the whole project with a unique perspective and extensive expertise. Even those with performing experience are surprised about all the elements of a building that go into making it a performance space. Is there room for both "performer" and technicians? Will the equipment be too complex for the users? Does everyone in the audience see the stage well? When the curtain opens where does all that fabric go? We routinely consult with architects and contractors just as they use electrical and structural consultants. We also create full construction drawings and specifications if that's what you need. Not a theater? Many facilities use the same techniques and equipment as theatrical productions;
Silhouette is a member of the Entertainment Services & Technology Association to support professionalism and quality in our projects and throughout the industry. LIGHTINGStage lighting is the most common reason people come to us for help. Moving lights, Dimmers, Colors, and a huge range of special effects like strobe lights and gobos are our standard tools. We also go beyond the technology and understand the way people respond to lighting. Emotional impact is a crucial part stage lighting. We also know architectural lights. "House" lights are a natural extension of stage lighting, as are the control systems for night clubs, convention centers and even "smart" homes. Some of the newest and greatest techniques in architectural lighting started as stage lighting. The same skills that make a dramatic moment on stage can make a big impact in a restaurant or store. We know fluorescent, HID, fiber optics, LEDs, and the fixtures that use them. Theatrical lighting requires detailed attention and so does permanent lighting. Our primary lighting consultant, Rick Reid is LC certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions. LC is the only internationally recognized certification on the full range of lighting issues, from aesthetics and maintenance to professional ethics. "LC" is now required by some government agencies. Whatever your lighting needs, we are sure to have brilliant ideas.
